The MTA and Department of Transportation hosted an open house meeting Thursday night to help straphangers who have concerns about the looming L train shutdown.

The event at the Williamsburg Community Center ran until 8 p.m. It was the second of two planned meetings in the borough to help familiarize residents with the upcoming changes.

As News 12 has reported, the L train tunnel will close down for repairs, cutting off access between Manhattan and Brooklyn.

To mitigate transportation issues, the MTA and DOT released a plan that includes expanded service on alternate subway lines like the G, J, M and Z. They will also impose HOV restrictions on the Williamsburg Bridge and expand bicycle lanes.
