South Bronx students to attend private 'Black Panther' screening

Students from a South Bronx school will be treated to a private screening of the upcoming Marvel movie "Black Panther."
The Laboratory School of Finance and Technology is part of the Black Panther Challenge, a nationwide initiative launched to raise money to take inner-city kids to see the movie in theaters. Through a GoFundMe page, more than $5,000 was raised for the school in less than two weeks.
About 350 students grades seven through 12 will attend a private screening Feb. 27 at an AMC theater in Manhattan. Many students say they're excited to see a black superhero as the lead character in a film.
All students will also receive a free "Black Panther" T-shirt and poster to remember the experience.
