Shots fired as armed robbers struggle with man inside deli

Police are searching for two suspects who robbed a man inside a Mott Haven deli at gunpoint.
It happened at Willis Avenue Deli and Grocery shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday.
Police say the suspects entered the deli, approached a 53-year-old victim, pulled out a gun and demanded his money.
According to police, one of the suspects put the gun to the victim's head while the other snatched $320 from the victim. News 12 is told that there was a brief struggled between the victim and the suspect with the gun, and two shots were fired.
The victim was not struck by the bullets, but was hospitalized to be treated for ringing in the ears, according to police.
A surveillance image of the suspects shows one wearing a black hat and black bomber jacket. The other had facial hair and was wearing a black winter hat.
