Prospect Park Audubon Center hosts kid-friendly winter activities

The Prospect Park Audubon Center is hosting kid-friendly nature activities for the winter.
Now that it's midwinter break for city public school students, the center has a list of activities for them to do, including building winter habitats, bird watching and playing with the center's animal collection.
Another activity is suet making for winter birds. Suet is a form of nutrient mixture that helps birds make it through the winter when food is scarce.
The center hopes the warm temperatures coming this week inspire more kids to get outdoors during their time off.
