Parkchester tenant says his home is falling apart

PARKCHESTER -

A Parkchester man says his Metropolitan Avenue apartment is deplorable, and he wants something done about it.

Aaron Martinez lives on the building's top floor. He says he has leaks coming from the walls and the windows. And his bathroom ceiling is missing, leaving metal and wood beams exposed. That leaks too, he says.

There's also mold in the apartment, and he says his walls have been crumbling since August. A section collapsed over the weekend, he says.

The building's management did not immediately respond to a News 12 request for comment.

Martinez says a building representative told him engineers would inspect his roof.
