BELMONT -

A community has come together to support the families of those affected by a massive Belmont fire.

The organization Help for Bronx Blaze held a gathering Thursday at Essentials Restaurant on Fordham Road to honor those who have died.

During the fire, 13 people were killed and many others were left homeless.

The organization says it has raised money for the fire victims through an online campaign.

It plans to meet with a developer to see how to go about using land to put the displaced families into homes.
