McDonald’s on Tremont Ave. to be redesigned

THROGS NECK -

A Throgs Neck McDonald’s is expected to be redesigned with a more modern look and accessible layout.

Frequenters say the McDonald’s on the corner of Philip and East Tremont avenues is often the cause of a traffic backup.

Renderings of the redesign for the fast food restaurant were released this month and show three major changes that will address drive-thru congestion.

The plans show two drive-thru windows and a more efficient entrance from Philip Avenue and exit to East Tremont Avenue.

Renovations are expected to begin this summer for a duration of eight months, during which the McDonald’s will be closed.

Ownership tells News 12 that they are excited to better serve their customers with the redesign.
