Police: Bronx barber beat by customer who refused to pay

A Bronx barber was attacked by a customer who refused to pay for his haircut, police say.
The incident happened on Feb. 16, inside of a barbershop at 563 E. Tremont Ave. around 8:30 p.m.
Police say the customer struck the 53-year-old barber with a brush after refusing to pay for his haircut.
The barber followed the man outside where the two got into a scuffle.
According to police, a man and a woman who are friends of the suspect intervened and began striking the barber with a baseball bat.
The barber suffered a fractured elbow and 15 stiches to his left eye.
The suspects were last seen getting into a 2014 Nissan Altima with New Jersey license plate number E24-FZX.
