A Brooklyn born drag queen from the Bronx is taking a trip to reality TV.
Kevin Bertin, known as Monet X Change, is one of 14 contestants vying for the top prize of "RuPaul's Drag Race."
The wannabe drag superstar says he has been doing drag since 2012. He auditioned four times for the show before finally getting casted.
"There is no crazier feeling than seeing RuPaul Charles in your face, it's really like you're meeting god herself," Bertin said.
Bertin tells News 12 it is a chance to be authentic and be celebrated for style and comedy.
"It's the craziest thing to realize that some little chubby, West Indian kid from Brooklyn, now living in the Bronx is going to be on television, and he's going to be celebrated," Bertin said.
Season 10 of "RuPaul's Drag Race" premieres March 22 on VH1.
