Friday's nor'easter brought strong winds, causing damage across the east coast, including LaGuardia Airport.
The heavy winds caused a roof at LaGuardia Airport to tear off.
The winds and rain also causes planes to be grounded and nearly 1,700 flights canceled out of all major New York City airports.
Travelers are being told to check with their airline carriers before heading to the airport.
