Nor'easter to make for messy morning commute

A third nor'easter in less than two weeks is set to make for another messy commute Tuesday morning.
A winter weather advisory is in effect for the Bronx through noon Tuesday. The storm could bring 1 to 3 inches of snow to the borough.
Residents are advised to use caution during the morning commute and can anticipate slippery road conditions and reduced visibility at times.
The past two nor'easters brought a mixture of snow, ice, rain and heavy gusts of wind that took down several trees and power lines throughout the city. Con Edison crews had to tend to more than 70,000 customers without power at one point, with some people waiting days for service to return. Some outages from those storms remained on Monday.
Con Edison says it is going to make sure to post alerts on its website during Tuesday’s storm. The company asks residents to look out for down power lines hidden by the snow.
Officials say that people who plan on driving for a long period of time should bring necessities like a shovel, batteries and a flashlight as a precaution.
