Honors student says police handcuffed her to a pole

A Midwood High School sophomore and her mother say police handcuffed the teen to a pole for several hours after she left school early.
Lelani Pacific-Jack left school early Tuesday after she started feeling sick and within minutes of leaving was taken into police custody.
Police say she was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental administration but wouldn't elaborate on the circumstances leading up to the arrest.
According to the Department of Education, high school students are allowed to leave with parental permission.
Aside from the emotional trauma the incident caused, Pacific-Jack is an honors student and worried how this will affect her future.
"This is not the type of thing I need to throw me off track," Pacific-Jack said.
Pacific-Jack missed another day of school Thursday for a probation hearing, where they say the case against her was closed.
