MARBLE HILL -

Two gunmen walked inside of a Target store and robbed an employee in the Bronx, police say.

The incident happened at the River Plaza Target store on West 225th Street in Marble Hill Monday morning.

Police say the men walked into the store with guns and left with cash from a register and a safe.

One of the suspects wore a scarf over his face while carrying a gray-colored duffle bag. The other suspect wore a gray winter jacket, police say.

The employee was not injured during the incident.

Target officials say they are cooperating law enforcement in the investigation and have shared relevant video from their security cameras.

Despite the robbery, the store remained open throughout the day Monday.
