Funeral held for firefighter killed battling Harlem blaze

Family, friends and a grateful city said goodbye to FDNY Lt. Michael Davidson Tuesday, who died last week battling a fire in a Harlem building.
Cardinal Timothy Dolan presided over the funeral at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan. Firefighters and police officers lined up on Fifth Avenue in a final salute.
Davidson, 37, was a 15-year FDNY veteran. Officials posthumously promoted him to lieutenant over the weekend.
"I am two years older than Michael, but I looked up to him," said John Hession, Davidson's cousin.
He is survived by his wife and four children.
Thousands of mourners paid their respects to the late Floral Park resident at viewing services Sunday and Monday.
