Yankees’ baseball is boon for neighborhood business

After being postponed a day and then delayed by a few minutes, baseball finally returned to Yankee Stadium for the 2018 season Tuesday afternoon as the Bronx Bombers took the field against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Neighboring businesses say the new season is a home run for them, too.
Fans packed bars near the stadium to watch the sold-out home opener, safe from the rain. Outside, street vendors sold ponchos and umbrellas.
At Billy's Bar, fans shrugged off the weather and said they had high hopes for the season.
