April is National Child Abuse Prevention month, and New York City's Administration for Children's Services says it is the perfect time to remind residents of their services.
ACS workers walked across the Brooklyn Bridge for the Bridge Walk for Child Abuse Prevention, to bring awareness to what they call a critical issue in New York City.
"Our network of 54 community-based organizations across New York City provides what we call preventative services, counseling, substance abuse and parent coaching," says ACS Commissioner David Hansell.
ACS says children are not always safe in their homes, which is why they want to highlight their services.
