Best of the Bronx: Community center helps children with special needs

A Bronx community center's after school program is helping children with special needs.

The Kingsbridge Community Center offers the yearlong program to children with special needs.

The program has 10 staff members who are devoted to helping the children.

Organizers say the children are learning social skills, working on their homework and expressing themselves through music.

The community center also takes the children on organized field trips.

Organizers say most importantly, the program gives children confidence.

Students in the program say it feels like a second home.
