A Bronx actor will be making his movie debut this summer in the upcoming film, “Uncle Drew.”
Phil Ductan was born and raised in the Bronx. He attended Lehman College and studied exercise science.
After becoming a trainer, Ductan helped actors with their workouts, which made him fall in love with acting. He has been acting for five years now.
He's taken on a number of roles in short films and commercials for sponsors like Gatorade and BMW.
The upcoming streetball film Ductan will be featured in, “Uncle Drew,” also stars NBA icon Kyrie Irving. He says that this movie is close to his heart due to his love for basketball, which he grew up playing.
Ductan credits his Haitian and Dominican heritage helping him in his acting career.
He hopes the combination of his Bronx background and heritage will continue to take him all the way to the top.
