Prom season is in full swing and some young Bronx residents are getting help from a nationwide organization.
Operation Prom hosted an event Saturday to help give students their dresses and tuxedos for free.
The nationwide organization held its first giveaway at Boricua College for high school seniors who have good grades but may not be able to afford a prom dress.
All of the students who attended the event live in and go to school in the Bronx.
To request a free prom dress or tuxedo, students must be recommended by their guidance counselor.
