RIVERDALE -

Two robberies Sunday morning have Riverdale neighbors worried for the safety of their children.

The robberies happened just hours from each other.

The first robbery took place at a Burger King on the corner of Manhattan College Parkway and Broadway around 9 a.m.

Police say the suspect simulated a gun in his left hand and left with $125.

The second robbery happened at Kidville.

According to police, the suspect reportedly threatened to shoot up the place if the employee did not comply. There is no word on if the perpetrator was actually armed, but he did leave with $115.

Despite the crime, Kidville opened its doors Monday and plans to all week.
