Unified basketball grows in popularity across LI

The stands are full, the games are intense and yet nobody cares who wins.
Unified basketball is growing in popularity, and Long Islanders couldn't be happier.
           
Under the guidance of the Special Olympics, the idea is to pair people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team.

According to a poll conducted by the Special Olympics, more than 80 percent of kids who play unified sports, have a renewed sense of self confidence.  100 percent of the parents agree.
