The Darien Nature Center hosted its eighth annual Down on the Farm event Saturday. 

The event was open to everyone and featured opportunities to paint, pet animals, play games and snack.

It also offers a chance for residents to see what the nature center offers.

"We really hope they get a chance to be together outside as a family and really enjoy the weather," Rachel Taylor of the Darien Nature Center said. "It's a kick off to summer and to see the nature center is a loving, welcoming place."
