Police seek suspect in Riverdale Subway restaurant robbery

Police are asking for the public's help finding a man they say robbed a Subway in Riverdale over the weekend.
Police say a man walked into the restaurant on Sunday and demanded cash.
Officers say the suspect approached a 24-year-old male employee and when he refused to hand over cash, the man put his hand in his shirt and simulated that he had a gun.
He then jumped over the counter, opened the cash register and removed around $1,500. Afterward he fled the store on foot. He is described as in his 40s, about 5 feet 10 inches. He was last seen wearing a black cap, gray shirt and camouflage shorts.
This latest incident comes after two other robberies in the neighborhood over the past month where a man simulated having a gun and made off with cash. No word yet on whether or not these robberies are connected.
