Police are searching for a man they say attacked a 10-year-old girl back on May 25 around 5 p.m.

Surveillance video shows the man entering an apartment building at Holland Avenue and Pelham Parkway North.

The man then waits for the girl to walk by before grabbing her iPhone 7+ right out of her hand and throwing her to the ground.

Police say that's when the man kicked her in the face before fleeing the scene.

Bronx residents say they can't imagine something like that happening to a child in their own life.

"If that was my goddaughter, the cops better find him before me," said Jose Villanueva.
