THE BRONX -

City officials honored the Bronx EMT who lost her life in the line of duty last year by co-naming an intersection after her Friday.

A carjacker struck and killed Yadira Arroyo in March 2017 with her own stolen ambulance.

Now, the corner of East 169th Street and Boston Road bears her name and a dedication plaque.

"She was an exceptional EMT, the one that her captain would assign as a partner to new members to help them learn the right way of doing things," said FDNY Commissioner Daniel Nigro.

The FDNY also emblazoned her image on one of its vehicles along with the phrase, "Always stay positive," which she was known to say often.
