Mount Vernon's Jonathan Lewis is running to unseat Rep. Eliot Engel in the Democratic primary for New York's 16th Congressional District.
Lewis says he's passionate about health care because both his son and daughter are living with Type 1 diabetes. He says he wants to see fairly priced pharmaceuticals and affordable health care for all.
He also says he wants to reduce mass incarceration by legalizing marijuana and abolishing mandatory minimum sentences for nonviolent drug offenders.
And he supports education benefits for military veterans.
