#N12Primaries: Briscoe makes personal appeal in 16th District

Joyce N. Briscoe says she's seeking the Democratic nomination in the state's 16th Congressional District because she doesn't see any politicians who represent her or her community.
Briscoe is a single mother of two who grew up in the Webster Houses.
She wants to tackle police brutality by having sociologists on staff in police departments to deliver sensitivity training.
And she wants a clear pathway to citizenship for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals recipients.
