The first-ever night market is coming to the Bronx this weekend at Fordham Plaza.
A sneak peek of the event was held at the Bronx Brewery, where vendors previewed a variety of food and beverages.
The festival is kicking off at 4 p.m. on June 30 and will feature food, local merchants and music that celebrates the global community in New York City.
“It’s an opportunity to put the Bronx on the map of the food scene,” says Amaurys Grullon, a founder of Bronx Native clothing line.
Organizer Marco Shalma says he wanted to give restaurateurs a platform to show their work.
"What a way to spend the summer," he says.
The market will recur on the last Saturday of every month through October.
