Sneaker doctor keeps kicks looking like new

You've spent hundreds of dollars for a pair of limited-release sneakers, but what happens when they start to look tired?

You call a sneaker doctor, of course. At Jwongboutique in Manhattan, hours of careful work can get a pair of sneakers looking just like new.

Owner Jay Wong says the process can take four to 10 hours to repair just one pair. The process involves using a paint remover to strip away worn areas of the shoe, then carefully applying tape before meticulously administering fresh paint to get the shoes back to their original luster.

After the process, those Jordans will look just like they did on Day 1.
