Build-A-Bear event forces closure of lines due to safety concerns
Authorities say that a national event at the Build-A-Bear Workshop Thursday was so popular that it had to close its lines in the U.S. due to crowd and safety concerns.
Pay Your Age Day allowed guests to create a furry friend, with payment determined by how old the individual making the bear was.
Older guests paid a maximum of $29.  The minimum price for a bear was $1.
Guests could also pay their age for an unstuffed furry friend and come back to have the full Build-A-Bear Workshop experience at a later date
