Dozens of children hit the courts at the Cary Leeds Tennis Center to participate in Return the Serve Day.
The small festival celebrates the $15,000 grant awarded to the National Junior Tennis and Learning chapter by the United States Tennis Association and Chase Bank.
The grant will support free tennis and education programs throughout the year.
Kids of all ages attended the event and were invited to participate in a day full of tennis lessons, games and receive giveaways like new shirts and bags.
The Cary Leeds Center provides free year-round instruction and play for children between the ages of 5 and 18 years old, from beginners to nationally ranked junior players.
