Stabbing suspect's antics spark courtroom outrage

The man accused of stabbing a woman to death earlier this month blew a kiss to the victim's husband in court Tuesday, according to witnesses.
Idris Abdul Muhaymin faces charges of murder and manslaughter in connection with the slaying of 45-year-old Wanda Rios. Police say he killed her with a screwdriver on July 11.
News 12 cameras were not allowed inside the courtroom, but Rios' friends say that when Muhaymin entered the room, he blew a kiss to Nathanial Rios -- who more than a dozen incensed friends and relatives had to restrain. Shouting and swearing escalated, and court officers had to break it up.
Shabazz Muhaymin says he believes his brother's mental health has been compromised.
"The family is just praying that he gets help, he gets his mind right, and we just pray for his sins," he said. "He wasn't thinking right. Perhaps drugs were a factor."
Muhayman's uncle was also killed on June 11. Police say they are still investigating that case.
He is due back in court on Aug. 7.
