Raw sewage and feces backed up into three NYCHA apartments in the Bronx, and according to tenants it's a reoccurring issue.
The sewage backed up into apartments inside of the Sackwern Houses Wednesday night and continued to flood the units Thursday.
Tenants woke up to the backup, which contained feces coming out of their toilets and bathtubs.
At least an inch of water backed up into one unit, while the dirty water spread to the living rooms, kitchen, and bedrooms of the other apartments.
In a statement, NYCHA commented by saying, “Staff is onsite now repairing the flooding and will make additional fixes once the leak is resolved. We are working with our residents to resolve this as quickly as possible.”
Tenants say  this is not the first time the incident has occurred.
