Bronx Day Atlanta festivities get underway

What started as a cookout to celebrate the Bronx in Atlanta has turned into a massive celebration.
The annual party has been going since 2006 and only keeps growing.
It includes seven events and kicked off Thursday with a comedy show and after-party. Friday was the pool party, and this weekend will feature the original cookout that started it all.
The organizers, who are originally from the Bronx and moved to Atlanta, wanted to throw a block party like old times.
"It's for everyone, but we want to show them how we party in the Bronx...we have people coming from Virginia, South Carolina, Alabama," says Marc Roberts.
Celebrities, like the cast of "Love & Hip Hop," are also involved now. Some of the money they raise is used for a back-to-school event that will happen next week, called "Good in the Hood."
The organizers plan to hold the event annually during the third week of July.
