Man robbed at knifepoint inside Bronx subway station

THE BRONX -

A man was robbed of his cellphone at knifepoint inside of a subway station in the Bronx, police say.

The incident happened on July 18, inside of the Gun Hill Road train station on the corner of Sexton Place and East Gun Hill Road around 4 a.m.

Police say the 22-year-old man was approached by two men who pulled out a knife and stole his cellphone.

The man was not injured in the incident and the two suspects took off, police say.

Police have released surveillance video of the two suspects from inside of the subway.

Anyone who recognizes the men is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS
