A soaking wet rainy day is in the forecast Wednesday with the potential for flooding roadways.

The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for all of the five boroughs as heavy downpours move into the city.

Minor flooding on streets and roadways is possible.

Rainfall rates could total close to an inch and cause flooding.

Rain showers will begin mainly after 7 a.m. with a temperature around 77 degrees.

Showers are also expected overnight Wednesday.
