Secrets of the Brooklyn Bridge

The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. It took 14 years to complete before the bridge officially opened in 1883.
Justin Rivers, from Untapped Cities, has been giving tours for the past couple of years and he knows all the hidden secrets located in plain sight.
"Most New Yorkers that take these tours don’t know that the lead designer was planning to have stores under the anchorages of the bridge, but it never ended up happening," Rivers says.
He also says an old Cold War fallout shelter was discovered from the 50s and 60s
"They found gallons of water, food, and a poster with a guy saying 'You survived nuclear war,'" he says.
Untapped Cities gives weekly two-hour walking tours of the bridge.
