New program offers drug counseling programs for people leaving prison

New Jersey's bail reform regulations are sending many people home from jail within a few days, without any sort of counseling for addiction.
Monmouth County has started a new program called Next Step. It provides drug counseling and programs for prisoners about to be released.
"You're arrested and you're about to be released through bail reform in 72 hours, how do we get you the services before you walk out of this facility?" says Sheriff Shaun Golden. "And that's what's being done in the Next Step program, all these organizations coming together."
Next Step is not funded by the county or the state. Funding will come from grants and from companies offering counseling services.
