The rain cleared Sunday, bringing sunny and humid temperatures to the Bronx.

A heat advisory has been issued for the city through Tuesday, but that did not stop Bronx residents from heading out to enjoy their Sunday and try to stay cool.

Some residents hit the beach and took a dip in the water.

Others took to recreation spaces like Soundview Park and grilled up some food or found shade.

Sunday was the first day of an expected heat wave that will last throughout the week.
