A group of Tremont neighbors says a dangerous manhole in the area remains a problem despite multiple reports to 311.

"I've made a lot of 311 calls, and nobody has come to take care of the problem," says Jesus Hurtado.

According to Hurtado, the hole on East 176th Street near P.S. 158 has slowly gotten worse over a span of more than two years.

"It's a health hazard," says Daniel Fuentes, another Tremont resident. "We don't know if it's gonna fall in or not...so it's something that needs to be addressed."

The DOT says it's looking into the matter.
