Parkland students bring 'March For Our Lives' tour to the Bronx

Teenagers who grew up on opposite ends of the East Coast are coming together today to talk about gun violence.

Students from Parkland, Florida, where a mass shooting took place on Valentine's Day, are in the Bronx as part of their "March for Our Lives" tour.

The event is being held on East 163rd Street.

Students from Parkland and students from cities all over the country are taking part in the tour to see how gun violence affects people in different communities.
The students came to the borough meet with the organization Save Our Streets, which organizes many rallies against violence and provides resources for kids in the Bronx to stay safe.
Assemblyman Michael Blake organized the day which included lunch, some salsa dancing, and a closed-door discussion with Bronx teenagers.
The students will be at the Forest Houses with Save Our Streets members to help register Bronx residents to vote.
