Bronx residents cope with soggy stretch of weather

The rainy, wet weather has caused some inconveniences for people around the borough.
In Fordham, a small SUV and a sedan were severely damaged after a tree crashed down Sunday afternoon at East 191st Street and Morris Avenue.
A witness at the scene, Tony Jackson, says he called 911 and fire crews responded within minutes.
There were no reported injuries, and the city's Parks Department brought heavy equipment on Monday to haul away tree pieces.
Monday’s scattered thunderstorms have also put a damper on some residents’ outdoor plans.
Some say it’s been tough getting around in the wet weather, both on foot and behind the wheel.
Forecasters are keeping an eye on low-lying areas in the Bronx that are prone to flooding.
The city is also trying to keep storm drains clear of leaves and other debris.
