Hostos Community College is offering the OSHA 30-hour Construction Training Course for people looking to get into the construction field.
The training program is being offered through a partnership between Hostos Community College and Building Skills New York.
The program is now required for all workers on construction sites under new safety guidelines by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
The course is held on the weekends. After completing the number of required hours and taking a test, participants will be certified to work at construction sites citywide.
The Building Foundation gave the college a $10,000 grant for the course.
