Dozens of restaurants participating in 'Dine in Park Slope'

Forty-three restaurants are offering deals as part of the first-ever "Dine in Park Slope."
The eateries are found along Flatbush, Fifth and Seventh avenues. They're offering promotions like prix fixe menus, flat discounts or even free wine.
The end of August is a typically slow season for restaurants, and some along Flatbush Avenue have been impacted further by roadwork. Others, like the grab-and-go Brooklyn Crepe, say they're usually overlooked during restaurant week and that this is a good way to promote their business.
The event is a joint effort between the Fifth Avenue Park Slope Business Improvement District, the Park Slope Chamber of Commerce and the North Flatbush Business Improvement District.
The offers run until Aug. 30. If successful, the participants hope to do it again next year.
