THE BRONX -

A group of young athletes from the Bronx received a firsthand lesson on what it takes to perform their best on the baseball field.

They were at Yankee Stadium Thursday where they learned all about the benefits eating a balanced meal can provide.

The group sponsors a tuition-free weeklong summer baseball camp for dozens of Bronx kids. The goal is to help them become better players while instilling the importance of proper eating.
