Some Bronx residents headed to the Mosholu Library, one of the city's designated cooling centers. The library is equipped with seven fans and air conditioning, making it a much cooler place to be during a heat wave.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory until 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Wednesday's temperatures are expected to reach 96 degrees.
