Darien woman to embark on charity bike ride for cancer

A Darien woman will embark on a bike ride to raise money for cancer.
Annie Burleigh was diagnosed two years ago with multiple myeloma, the third most common blood cancer in America. She underwent a stem cell transplant and is now in remission.
Burleigh and her husband have been avid bike riders for many years. She says she wasn't going to let anything prevent her from getting back on her bike.
This weekend, Burleigh and her husband Jon leave for Utah and will ride almost 250 miles next week in the Road to Victories cycling event to raise money and awareness to find a cure.
The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation is located in Norwalk.
