Investigators: Couple blamed each other for killing, dismembering friend

A couple charged in the killing and dismemberment of their friend in the Bronx blamed one another for the incident, court documents reveal.
Daquan Wheeler and Ciara Martinez were indicted on the charges in Bronx court Tuesday.
Each were charged with second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, second-degree criminal facilitation and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon in the death of Lisa Marie Velasquez.
Velasquez's body parts began showing up across two Bronx parks in August after her family reported her missing.
In court documents, Martinez told investigators Wheeler struck Velasquez in the head with a hammer and killed her.
However, Wheeler told police Martinez was the one who killed Velasquez.
Both are due back in court in December and in January.
