TREMONT -

Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a man they say groped a teenage girl in Tremont in August.

Police say the man followed a 19-year-old girl into her apartment building on the corner of Crotona Park North and Arthur Avenue.

News 12 is told he sparked a conversation with the victim and got on the elevator with her, exiting on her floor.

That's when he grabbed her behind and ran off.

He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, blue jeans and dark colored sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
