Officials say that a firefighter was seriously injured in a fire at a building in Pelham Park Sunday evening.
The fire occurred at a three-story building on Mayflower and Westchester avenues around 8 p.m.
Fire officials say that there were 12 fire trucks at the scene, and more than 60 firefighters worked to put out the flames.  They say it took an hour to get the flames under control.
News 12 has heard reports that there was a marijuana grow house inside the building, but this has not been confirmed by officials.
Fire officials at the scene tell News 12 that the injured firefighter was taken to Jacobi Hospital.
